Job Description

LOCATION DETAILS: 950 E. Avenue K Grand Prairie TX
WORK HOURS: MondayFriday1:00 PM 7:30 PM OT as needed)
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a member of the Production/Warehouse team the Team Leadis a critical role and is responsible for problem solving issues and supporting our Operations team members to remove roadblocks and solve problems to ensure operational success through attaining KPIs in the areas of Safety Quality Delivery and Productivity.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide a safe healthy and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members
- Communicate with team members to resolve issues to attain daily productivity quality and delivery goals.
- Be a champion of the departments SOPs. Coach and train team members on the SOPs for the department.
- Partner to find the most efficient process and suggest improvements where needed/identified; encourages team members to provide suggestions
- Works to ensure team members are thoroughly cross trained in multiple functions both within and outside department
- Identify and resolve small conflicts within department; works closely with Supervisor/Manager to resolve larger conflicts.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEGE/SKILLS/ABILITES
- Desire to learn/grow
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Great attention to detail and organization skills
- Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office knowledge in SAP a plus
- Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation
- Thrives on solving problems in both traditional and creative ways
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- HS Diploma or GED and/or 23 years experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 1535 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a nonclimatecontrolled environment.
