Job Summary

Conduct quality case management reviews of the Case Management Organizations to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and program objectives. Review and evaluate performance regarding fulfillment of contract obligations. Determine quality of care and reports results to oversight groups. Investigate and report on client complaints and incident reports.

This position is unique in that it also serves as a position in assisting as a backup Foster Care Referral (FCR) Specialist. The FCR Specialist is responsible for investigating Special Conditions Reports known as Foster Care Referrals as it pertains to children involved in case management services from either a case management or licensing perspective. Foster Care Referrals are concerns reported to the Hotline related to the care provided to a child in an out of home placement with a relative or nonrelative or concerns related to a childs safety permanency or wellbeing for families under protective supervision that do not meet the criteria for acceptance of a report of abuse abandonment or neglect. These referrals may include placement disruptions and case plan or safety plan violations. The intent is to provide notification to the child welfare professional to reassess the childs safety permanency and wellbeing. These referrals may include situations involving the removal caregiver which impact the childs safety. This position will make recommendations regarding corrective actions for relative and nonrelative caregivers or actions needed by case management to resolve any identified concerns.

Job Duties

  • Conduct quality case management case reviews which include but not limited to pre and post case consultations as it relates to the Life of Case Reviews Special Project Reviews and CFSR/PIP case reviews.
  • Analyze reports and assist in monitoring data integrity and report to the Director of Quality Management
  • Assist in determining compliance with contractual requirements and assist in providing training to improve performance.
  • Process incident reports entered Mindshare and the DCF systems as required per FSS OP and DCF Guidelines.
  • Conduct investigations into client complaints and assist in the review research and tracking of incident reports. Additionally participate in conflict resolution.
  • Assist the Case Management Organizations in quality improvement planning to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and program objectives.
  • Perform other duties. Assisting as a secondary Foster Care Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university focus in social services or a related field is preferred. A Masters degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one year of experience.
  • At least one year experience working with at risk children and families preferably as a Case Manager with 12 years experience with child welfare data systems. A minimum of three years of experience working with dependent emotionally disturbed or highrisk children and their families.
  • Valid drivers license.

  • MonFriday 8:30am5:00pm
  • Hybrid schedule post training as schedule permits
