Data Engineer
Base Salary: $95k$125k

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role you will take ownership of our ETL pipelines design and implement star schema data models and integrate thirdparty services to enhance our data ecosystem. Working with our product customer and reporting teams the ideal candidate will also help shape our data mesh architecture and build insightful dashboards enabling stakeholders to make datadriven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Development: Build maintain and optimize scalable ETL pipelines for data ingestion transformation and storage.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement star schema models for efficient querying and reporting.
- Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS services (e.g. S3 Lambda Redshift Glue) to build and optimize the data infrastructure.
- ThirdParty Integration: Connect and integrate thirdparty services and APIs into our data pipeline to enhance functionality.
- Dashboard Development: Create and maintain dashboards to provide actionable insights for business and technical stakeholders.
- Data Mesh Practices: Collaborate with teams to implement best practices for a data mesh architecture fostering a decentralized and scalable approach to data management.
- Collaboration: Partner with data analysts and business units to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure data systems are secure performant and scalable to meet growing business needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Postgres Databricks and AWS services (e.g. S3 Lambda Redshift Glue).
- Expertise in building and optimizing ETL pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and star schema data modeling.
- Experience integrating thirdparty services and APIs.
- Handson experience creating dashboards using tools such as Tableau Power BI or equivalent.
- Architectural Knowledge: Familiarity with data mesh architecture and modern data frameworks.
- ProblemSolving: Exceptional analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve data issues.
- Communication: Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
NicetoHave:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
- Knowledge of data governance security and cataloging tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
