Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for a medical devices company in Switzerland. The Senior Legal Counsel will support the legal team by reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements. The successful candidate will provide guidance on a wide range of legal matters including Swiss employment law. Proficiency in German and English is essential for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft review and negotiate various commercial agreements related to procurement manufacturing IT services and business operations.
- Provide legal guidance on supplier relationships contract management and procurement processes to ensure compliance.
- Advise on employment law matters particularly in Switzerland and Germany supporting HR and leadership on policies disputes and compliance.
- Support business operations by offering legal advice to teams involved in logistics trade marketing R&D and sales.
- Manage disputes and legal risk including settlements with suppliers business partners and employees.
- Advise on competition law and intellectual property matters including trademarks copyrights and marketing compliance as needed.
- Law degree from a recognized institution
- Bar admission in at least one jurisdiction is highly preferred
- 10 years of legal experience in both a law firm and an inhouse role within a multinational company
- Strong knowledge of Swiss employment law (knowledge of German or French employment law is a strong plus).
- Proficiency in English and German; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse crossfunctional and multicultural teams.
