Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. This will be a fulltime nontenure track 12month appointment (beginning 08/1/2025 to serve as training clinic director in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology in the School of Education. Position Description: We are seeking a candidate who can direct the departmental training clinic that serves as an outpatient mental health clinic training site for graduate student clinicians and research collaborator for evidencebased practices in psychology. This position requires tested experience in evidencebased training and supervision along with strong administrative skills. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree from an APA accredited counseling psychology or clinical psychology program and be licensed or license eligible in Indiana. The clinic director also serves as a core faculty member in both our APA accredited counseling psychology doctoral program and MPCAC accredited masters programs in mental health counseling and addictions counseling. The Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs at Indiana University value candidates who have experience working in settings with students from diverse backgrounds. Principal Duties/Responsibilities: Direct an outpatient mental health clinic that serves as the primary training site for counseling psychology doctoral students including the supervision of a fulltime clinic coordinator and two graduate student assistant directors. Provide individual clinical supervision to approximately 6 doctoral trainees per semester Teach clinically oriented or supervisionrelated courses in the doctoral and masters programs (teaching load is 5 courses per year plus individual supervision) Contribute to university school department and program related service activities such as managing external training placements for advanced doctoral students supporting students during the internship application process interviewing applicants for doctoral and masters programs mentoring students advising masters students etc. Oversee the implementation of standardized and routine data collection at the Clinic. Facilitate research conducted at the clinic by students and faculty in the Counseling and Counseling Psychology programs. Coordinate external doctoral practicum placements manage affiliation agreements maintain regular communication with external site supervisors regarding student progress and submission of performance evaluations. Collaborate with the Learning and Developmental Evaluation Clinic Director and School Psychology program colleagues Minimum Required Qualifications: Doctorate in Counseling Psychology or closely related field by start date Licensed or license eligible within 6 months in Indiana with the HSPP designation Experience in providing clinical supervision to graduate trainees Commitment to legal and ethical practices in service delivery and clinical training/supervision Commitment to collegiality collaboration respect for all persons and prioritization of a supportive training environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leadership roles administrative roles and/or writing clinical service delivery grants or contracts Experience creating community connections Graduate level teaching experience Experience with telehealth modalities for clinical service delivery Assessment experience in psychodiagnostics Ability and willingness to teach graduate courses in psychological assessment and/or cognitive assessment and clinical supervision Program Information: The Counseling and Counseling Psychology Programs are housed within the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology. The Counseling programs at IU include an undergraduate major undergraduate minor MPCAC accredited masters programs in mental health counseling and addictions and an APA accredited PhD program in counseling psychology.
