- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests on animals to assess their health.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on the animals needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform surgeries including routine procedures and more complex interventions.
- Maintain client communication providing information on diagnoses treatment options and followup care.
- Ensure accurate and complete medical recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Rhode Island.
- At least 2 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian (new graduates are welcome to apply with mentorship opportunities available).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a teamoriented environment.
