The patrol deputy position includes:
* Traffic and criminal law enforcement
* Supervision of inmates
* Court services and civil process.
Applicants must be available to work a rotating 12hour schedule which includes nights weekends and holidays. This schedule allows for every other FridaySaturdaySunday off.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Must have completed a 720hour law enforcement academy program certified by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB)
* Minimum age of 21
* U.S. citizen (per WIs. Stats. 66.05012
* No unpardoned felony convictions nor any offense that could be punished as a felony in Wisconsin
* No misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence as defined in 18 USC 921(a)33 or domestic abuse under Wis. Stats. 968.075 1(a)
* Must be of good character
* Must be free from any physical emotional or mental conditions that would negatively affect law enforcement duties
* Ability to meet physical performance requirements
* Vision correctable to 20/20
* Valid drivers license
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Selfmotivated and have the ability to work in a team environment
* After probation residency within 40 miles of the Green County Sheriffs Office.
Education Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must have 60 college credits and Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certification or qualify for outofstate or military law enforcement reciprocity

* A background investigation
* A psychological examination
* A medical examination.
These requirements may be waived for current employees performing related duties.
