Work Location: Lansing Michigan (In office/hybrid)
Hours of Work: Mon Fri / 8am 5pm

Job Summary:
Handyman Connection of Lansing is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team and help lead and grow our business in the Lansing and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for a resultsdriven leader with a background in sales management and customer service. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Operations & Strategy
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of daily operations ensuring efficiency and profitability
  • Execute sales and customer retention initiatives
  • Monitor financial performance including revenue expenses and profit margins
  • Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the owner
2. Sales & Customer Service
  • Drive sales through effective marketing networking and customer outreach
  • Conduct inoffice (virtual) and inhome estimates provide proposals and sell our services to both residential and commercial clients for mid sized jobs
  • Oversee customer interactions to ensure high levels of responsiveness professionalism satisfaction and repeat business
3. Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit onboard train and manage a network of skilled craftsmen and office staff to support scheduling customer service and operations
  • Provide guidance and support to subcontractors to optimize performance
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Set performance goals and provide regular coaching and feedback to the team
4. Marketing & Community Engagement
  • Build relationships with homeowners property managers and businesses to generate leads
  • Attend occasional trade shows and assist with onsite coordination
Experience & Skills:
  • Management experience 3 years) in operations construction or home services is a plus
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Experience managing budgets financial reports and performance metrics
  • Proficiency in CRM software and office productivity tools
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial repair/remodeling including estimating jobs is a plus
  • Valid drivers license required
