Were seeking a Manager Brokerage whos ready to lead a growing team optimize transportation solutions and take ownership of thirdparty carrier performance with a focus on container freight specialized shipments (like autos and trade shows) and crossfunctional partnership.
This is a highvisibility role where your decisions directly influence cost carrier quality and service delivery across UniGroups expansive network.
As the Manager Brokerage youll be responsible for building relationships leading a frontline team and sourcing 3rdparty carriers to keep freight moving smoothly. Youll:
Source vet and select thirdparty carriers especially for containers and specialized freight
Negotiate rates build partnerships and resolve service issues or disputes
Lead coach and develop a small but growing brokerage team
Oversee shipment coordination load planning and ontime delivery
Collaborate closely with pricing assets and equipment teams
Monitor KPIs using Excel Qlik ThoughtSpot and other performance tools
Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting and streamline operations

What Sets You Up for Success
Deep understanding of thirdparty transportation and carrier networks
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Proven leadership experience with a passion for team development
Comfort working with operational KPIs shipment metrics and data dashboards
A collaborative mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence
5 years of experience in brokerage transportation or logistics
Proven success managing carrier relationships and resolving service issues
Prior leadership experience you know how to set expectations coach and grow a team
Familiarity with container freight autos trade shows or other specialized freight is a plus
Handson experience with Excel and platforms like Qlik or ThoughtSpot
TIA Broker Certification is a bonus
