Job Description
A wellestablished public sector organization is seeking a dedicated Park Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep and safety of public parks and recreational spaces. The ideal candidate will perform landscaping facility maintenance and event setup while ensuring park structures and equipment remain in excellent condition. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Inspect and repair park structures and equipment.
- Perform landscaping duties including planting pruning mowing and weeding.
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides to grass trees and shrubs as needed.
- Remove graffiti maintain restrooms empty trash and perform general park cleanup.
- Conduct minor maintenance on tools vehicles and equipment.
- Set up and remove eventrelated structures such as bleachers tents and picnic tables.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing athletic fields fencing and backstops.
- Support irrigation and construction crews as needed.
- Assist with playground equipment maintenance and repair.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to work from 5am to 1pm and in different weather elements.
- Minimum of six 6 months of experience in grounds maintenance horticulture or a related field.
- A valid drivers license is required with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools motorized vehicles and equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including shift work and occasional overtime.
