Position Summary
The Teaching Assistant 1 (TA1 acts as the course reader (grader) and academic data clerk for the instructor. This involves any associated class record keeping including but not limited to grading of quizzes/exams/assignments and involves filing copying data entry and other clerical/computer skills as needed. The TA1 may also be called upon to assist in proctoring class exams.
The Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2 assists the instructor with preparation/setup operation and takedown/cleanup of laboratory classes. The TA2 facilitates instruction in the laboratory.
This position combines both Lecture TA1 and Laboratory TA2 positions in the context of an interactive lecture course taught in a computer lab. TA12 must work the entire lab class time though hours may reduce as quarter proceeds.
- Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Spring 2025 quarter
- Must be able to start work on or before required start date March 31
- Must have taken Biostatistics (Either BIOL235 or BIOL376 and passed with a grade of B or higher
