Job Description

Position Summary

Seeking a skilled Network & Communication Administrator with at least three years of experience in configuring and maintaining network systems. Responsibilities include designing supporting and securing network and voice infrastructure troubleshooting issues and ensuring best security practices. Expertise in routing and switching fundamentals firewalls NAC wireless and various telecommunication systems (VOIP PBX SIP) is required. The role involves managing projects coordinating with IT teams and maintaining uptodate documentation. Candidates should have strong problemsolving skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.

Required

3 years of recent experience in a similar position configuring supporting and securing network infrastructures.
College or University Degree in a computer related field or related work experience.
The ability to problem solve multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced and demanding environment.
The ability to ensure best industrial network security practices are implemented by timely auditing of designs and configuration of routers switches firewalls IDS and monitoring.
Expertise with Cisco Fortinet and Aruba solutions.
Expertise in network technologies protocols and concepts.
Experience implementing and supporting wireless technology.
Experience implementing and supporting various telecommunication equipment e.g. VOIP PBX Voice Recognition Voice Mail SIP etc.
Experience configuring operating and recommending improvements to network and security infrastructure while ensuring documentation is up to date.
Reliable transportation required.
For internal candidates disciplinary and attendance records will be considered.

***Preference given to those who possess and validate current certifications that are relevant to this role e.g. CCIE CCNP CCDP CISSP Network ***

Duties

Responsible for designing and maintaining existing network and voice infrastructure as well as recommending improvements and future modernization to deliver performance scalability and availability.
Coordinate activities with other IT and business teams that require network/voice infrastructure for daytoday business operations.
Provide thirdlevel support for network and voice related issues including acknowledgement of call(s) timely resolution communication of resolution and documentation to support future incidents.
Management of projects that have impact on the data and voice infrastructure including creation of business case development of project plans monitoring of project completion and communication with project team end users vendors and partners outside of the organization.
Routine network tasks such as network traffic analysis new network installs adjustment of wireless infrastructure maintenance of current data/voice infrastructure and keeping infrastructure topology and documentation up to date.
Responsible for enforcing and securing network/voice infrastructure. This includes configuring firewalls maintenance of physical security requirements monitoring security risks assisting in the completion of threat and risk assessments for new applications or hardware dealing with regional Lumeo partners and provincial agencies (e.g. eHealth Ontario) around network security and regular reporting to management on cyber security threats and vulnerabilities.
Research network and voice technology through reading internet vendor discussions and other means to remain current in technology and practical use in health care environments.
Work with external vendors and service providers to develop test evaluate and integrate technological enhancements and new functionalities.
Escalating critical incidents as necessary while keeping stakeholders informed.
