JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Patient Safety Attendant (CPSA) Lead reports to the Manager and/or Supervisor of CPSA/PSS. This role will assist with the onboarding of new CPSA staff members within the organization including but not limited to supportive roles such as scheduling time and spaces for onboarding scheduling and tracking MOAB and PROACT trainings and certifications when applicable and training staff on basic components of the CPSA position in addition to basic organizational onboarding support. The CPSA Lead may interact with and provide feedback to Unit Leaders on the progress of Unit Specific CPSAs. This CPSA Lead Position is primarily administrative but at the direction of their leader may occasionally include functions of a CPSA. See below for Job summary of CPSA.

The CPSA is responsible for specific aspects of direct patient care and monitoring focused of safety under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The CPSA commits to providing and maintaining a safe and caring environment for our patients their families and our colleagues while promoting physical emotional psychological and cognitive wellbeing. The CPSA fulfills this purpose by:

  • Providing individualized evidencebased therapeutic interventions to address specific safety needs.

  • Being an active member of and contributor to the interdisciplinary team

  • Utilizing safe timely effective equitable efficient and patientcentered communication

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of AS degree in health care mental health or human services related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous health care experience preferred. ProACT crisis intervention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training preferred.

This is a bargaining union position.
