Job Description
Position Responsibilities
Teach courses in marketing as needed. These classes could be inclusive of any areas within the discipline. Examples include social media/internet/digital marketing content marketing influencer marketing retailing integrated marketing communication/advertising strategy service marketing personal selling/sales management international marketing or branding/brand management.
Create and deliver highquality course content.
Meet all designated course instruction guidelines and departmental assessment objectives.
Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner.
Respond to student inquiries within 12 business days.
Submit midterm and final grades according to school policy.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field with experience and specialized expertise directly related to the position.
Demonstrated teaching experience or good oral presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D D.B.A or other doctoral degree in marketing business or a related discipline or work experience directly related to the position is highly preferred.
Previous experience teaching courses within an undergraduate or graduatelevel business program is particularly welcome.
