Meet the Personal Injury Law team

Personal Injury Law is a division of LEAP Legal Software which specialises in software solutions for our Personal Injury Law vertical. This is a oneofakind team paving the way for a new structure in LEAP which focuses on tailored products for specific areas of law. This team includes experienced legal professionals developers designers and clientfocused operational experts. We have inhouse Australian Personal Injury Lawyers who are the experts in guiding the direction that our products take along with a mature client feedback function.

What youll do

Behind all the upcoming ideas we have to support Personal Injury Lawyers with tailored products is the Developer that makes it happen. As the first FullStack Developer of this vertical youll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including product and client operations to translate ideas and concepts with a Personal Injury law focus into functional web applications to be made available in LEAP Legal Software. With the support and infrastructure of our wider Engineering organization (LEAP Dev) youll have full responsibility over building these greenfield applications.

To make this happen you will

• Research and develop emerging trends standards and practices for frontend development;
• Design develop and manage backend APIs and services that make up the core of Personal Injury Law;
• Provide scalability to ensure the application can handle mass amounts of data and users;
• Implement secure customer authentication;
• Find ways to evolve and improve the way we develop deploy and deliver software;
• Revise update refactor and debug code;
• Test and deploy applications and systems;
• Use Git version control to manage codebase; and
• Have a voice and vision for the innovation of Personal Injury Law.

What experience do you need

• 3 years experience as a FullStack Software Engineer
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Proficiency in frontend application development using webbased technologies
• Proficiency with serverside languages .Net
• Proficiency with database technology such as MySQL (or varients)
• Understanding of software development methodologies software architecture and best practice
• Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing best practices
• Knowledge of Git version control
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and tools such as AWS; and

• Demonstrates transparency in their work clearly communicating technical implementations and progress to Head of Developments to ensure alignment with strict company policies
