Job Summary:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance of Gurneys Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. This role ensures that the resorts landscaping walkways and outdoor areas remain clean safe and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic attention to detail and a passion for maintaining highquality outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all resort grounds including landscaping gardens pathways parking areas and beachfront areas.
• Perform routine lawn care including mowing edging trimming watering and fertilizing.
• Plant prune and maintain flowers shrubs and trees to enhance the resorts visual appeal.
• Remove weeds debris and litter from outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Perform seasonal duties such as snow and ice removal leaf raking and holiday decorations.
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and ensure proper watering schedules.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers trimmers blowers and power tools.
• Perform minor repairs on outdoor fixtures pathways and resort signage.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to address any outdoor facility issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any hazards or concerns to management.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming and wellkept outdoor environment for guests.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping groundskeeping or outdoor maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of horticulture irrigation systems and grounds care.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting bending walking and standing for long periods.
• Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Valid drivers license preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing walking bending kneeling and reaching.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions including heat cold rain and snow.
• Comfortable working with and operating landscaping tools and heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and sustain physical activity for extended periods.
