Job Description

Position Summary

The Logistics Supervisor serves as a liaison between the GE Warehouse Leadership and the GE operation. The position is responsible for leading operational and/or support departments including all aspects of shipping and receiving scheduling inventory management quality management. The Logistics Supervisor upholds all QMPs and work instructions. Responsible for instilling and maintaining good relationships and working conditions with all Crescent People and Customers both inside and outside of the account through proper and championing the Crescent Way. Ensure that all Crescent People consistently produce acceptable productivity quality and safety results. This role requires the oversight and purchasing of shipping materials office supplies and department needs. Assures compliance with OSHA MSDS ASI ISO and SQF regulations. Ensure that payroll is processed correctly and all times for direct reports are capture accurately in time management and payroll systems. Champion of lean and continuous improvement strategies including but not limited to Leader Standard work Value Stream Mapping and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety

  • Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook Doing It Safe
  • Ensure Safe and wellmaintained Work Environment and conditions throughout all workspaces facility and surrounding areas
  • Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and initiatives and champion and engage all staff and employees in cultivating and promoting a SafetyFirst Culture
  • Continually seek out and remove all forms of risk

People

  • Read and understand the Crescent Way.
  • Evaluate candidates and select the best cultural and competent fits using STAR (Select Train Assess and Recognize)
  • Act as a liaison to shipping/warehouse associates and leads ensuring all order and work requirements are successfully always communicated and maintain an open line of communication with the customer
  • Work closely and harmoniously with fellow team members and members of management
  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries/complaints shipments inventory counts etc. in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Positively contribute to a team environment by fostering a culture of respect clear and concise communication acts with humility and one that embodies SCARF. (Status Certainty Autonomy Relatedness and Fairness)
  • Ensure all customer touch points and communications are positive.

Productivity

  • Understand and implement Crescent policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes cross training to progress their Crescent People as well as themselves
  • Maintain productivity standards as dictate by department KPIs and goals
  • Maintain a good knowledge of all Crescent supplies always maintaining proper stock levels
  • Maintain a monthly performance log for all Crescent Team Members
  • Use of Microsoft Office application to communicate daily task KPIs conduct daily business and all other key reporting indicators
  • Maximize site capacity and output capability through the planning and scheduling of all resources
  • Assess / verify the ongoing need for resources.

Continuous Improvement

  • Working with other departments and utilize tools and resources to drive a lean culture
  • Leading projects to eliminate waste and defects within the department
  • Validate the use and continuous improvement of all production and operational processes

Quality

  • Execute quality management of material through controlling customer hardware and proper of QEMs.
  • Ensure proper documentation is kept and maintained of processes and procedure including but not limited to job aids work instructions and nonconformance documents.
  • Utilize account tools and ERP system to act quickly and execute QEM management in a timely manner
  • Assist with ISO program management
  • Assist with FOD and parts awareness training
  • Maintain files for Quality Event Management
  • Log nonconforming parts when applicable
  • Ensure the root cause for all escapes is identified and corrected
  • Work with PQEs to identify part disposition and/or conformance issues

Inventory Management

  • Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account
  • Ensure that there is no cross contamination of parts between accounts
  • Complete Supervisor Cycle Counts as applicable
  • Ensure Inventory accuracy goals of account are met
  • Be able to report out on Inventory metrics and speak to open action items

Customer Value

  • Respond promptly to client requests via phone or email in a professional courteous manner
  • Process shipping document amendments and kit matrices upon request
  • Cultivate teamwork with the customer working together to build a relationship of trust and problem solving
  • Understand the nuances of each customer and their needs
  • Report well documented and accurate metrics DSRs and KPIs
  • Build a strong reputation with our customer as being a customer centric business leader/supervisor

Data Integrity

  • Operate with a reporting system/tools ensuring the complete integrity of all data

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years related experience or the equivalent
  • Experience leading teams or projects preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business or technical field
  • Experience managing account financials staffing and budget requirements
