Job Description

Datadogs Real User Monitoring (RUM) gives our customers endtoend visibility into the realtime activity and experience of individual users on the web and on mobile. This includes application performance error management analytics & user insights. RUM is massively growing: More customers more features & more people! And this growth comes with challenges.

By joining our SDK team you will be part of a multicultural team that is remotefriendly. You will collaborate with the product backend and frontend UI teams. You will play an active role in building the library installed by our customers in their games.

To maintain the trust weve built with our many customers you must be comfortable building robust very wellarchitected and isolated code that works in very different environments and setups. We expect that you are comfortable with game engines shipping to different platforms and the specific performance challenges that exist. Your SDK code must be safe and robust in this complex environment. What Youll Do:

  • Maintain and write new components of Datadogs Unity and Native SDKs SDK
  • Support our growth into Unreal and other game engines across all platforms (PC XBox Playstation Switch and Mobile)
  • Work closely with the backend frontend and product teams to deliver the bestinclass performance monitoring product for games
  • Contribute to the improvement our engineering tooling and practices
  • Write code in the public eye being the face of Datadog inside the community

Who You Are:

  • You have strong experience with the APIs and ecosystem of Unity or Unreal. You are comfortable debugging complex issues in a variety of setups
  • You have relevant experience in developing code for Unity Unreal or an inhouse engine
  • You have experience shipping to Consoles and PCs
  • You are proficient in C and crosscompilation for various platforms.
  • You value code simplicity and performance
  • You want to work in a fastpaced highgrowth environment that values diversity of talent excellence of product and exciting engineering challenges at scale
  • Experience developing commercially shipped SDKs
