Events & Communications Coordinator UNSW Science

  • Employment Type: Full Time 35 hours per week)
  • Duration: Continuing
  • Remuneration: Level 6/7 $100354 $119132 (depending on experience) 17 super leave loading
  • Location: Kensington NSW (hybrid)

Why your Role Matters:

The Events & Communications Coordinator works in UNSW Sciences highperforming External Engagement & Partnerships team and is the specialist in events and communication.

This role is highly collaborative and works closely with academic colleagues UNSWs central Strategic Events and Corporate Communications teams to ensure best practice creative thinking and innovation in the delivery of all initiatives. The role will grow a good understanding of the impactful role of science and the UNSW experts that represent the University. The Events & Communications Coordinator will report to and work collaboratively with the Senior External Engagement Manager and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate fully within the External Engagement and Partnerships team and wider Division working together to implement the Facultys External Engagement Plan.
  • Deliver a highly stakeholderfocused service engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure their needs are met. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement and be the Facultys trusted expert in the area.
  • Coordinate and deliver all aspects of the event management lifecycle including postevent feedback collection and data analysis to refine future events coordinate and deliver all aspects of the event management lifecycle for events at UNSW.
  • Use agreed event platforms processes and adhere to agreed brand and event policies in implementing your workplan for the year.
  • Drive and implement the engagement and communication plan for UNSW Sciences Pact for Impact. Achieve agreed outcomes and identify opportunities to improve the quality or efficacy of communications.
  • Contribute to UNSW Science internal communications initiatives implementing the newsletter component through Mailchimp.
  • Facilitate Faculty databases for the purpose of effective audience and community management in line with UNSW mailing list policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders in UNSW Science on communications including most appropriate channels to deliver effective and targeted messages to relevant.
  • Use agreed methods to track the impact and ROI of events and to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of shared approaches and policies across the Division of Societal Impact Equity and Engagement (SIEE) working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Plan manage and complete all aspects of approved communications to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols specific to event planning and a commitment to ensuring all events comply with university safety standards.
