The Alliance Health Project (AHP) is a communitybased LGBTQ and HIVfocused clinic located in San Francisco. We provide psychotherapy substance use counseling case management support groups psychiatry sexual health services clinical traineeship and provider education and training. Our multidisciplinary staff are a patientcentered and collaborative team. We have continued to grow as a communitybased clinic by anticipating and addressing the changing needs of our LGBTQ and HIV community members for more than 35 years. Our process of continuous improvement of service to our community includes a strong focus on cultural humility antiracist service provision and harm reduction.
The primary work site is the AHP Services Center in San Francisco. In this role the psychiatrist will work within a team consisting of missiondriven case managers therapists peer counselors and experts in sexual health. The psychiatrist will provide clinical assessment treatment and appropriate disposition for a caseload of patients. The role collaborates with the patients collateral providers around disposition plans for mutual patients. This role may also involve the education and mentorship of psychiatry residents and students from the UCSF School of Medicine.
Note: This position requires a physical/health screening.

- Bilingual and/or bicultural background is highly desirable
- Established record of clinical educational and leadership skills
- Board eligible in Psychiatry
- Graduate of an ACGMEaccredited psychiatry training program
- License to practice medicine in California and DEA certification required
