The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Compliance manager with experience of FCA regulation within consumer credit to join the Clearpay Compliance Team. You will be part of a growing and dynamic team and help prepare Clearpay for more intensive regulation. The Compliance team is a 2LOD function and is responsible for advising and monitoring the compliance position of Clearpay UK.
You Will
- Advise the business on compliance requirements risks and related controls
- Report directly to the Head of Compliance (future SMF16
- Create assessing and implementing policies standards and processes
- Manage the Compliance training programme
- Review merchant and vendor onboarding requests and provide feedback to the business to ensure compliance with FCA requirements
- Review marketing communications
- Support with annual risk assessments
- Oversee compliance with Gifts and Entertainment and Conflicts of Interest working with global stakeholders
- Interpret regulation and break it down into what needs to be done and why it applies to the business model; and cascade important information to internal stakeholders.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders including (e.g. Legal Risk MLRO Product Customer Ops) and external stakeholders (e.g. regulators advisors partners).
You Have
- 5 years compliance experience covering a wide range of FCA Handbook topics including CCA CONC Consumer Duty SYSC SMCR Vulnerable Customers Operational Resilience.
- Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements and support the delivery of good customer outcomes.
- Expertise in identifying compliance risks and potential vulnerabilities and advising on solutions.
- Knowledge of conducting regulatory gap analysis policy creation and implementation.
- Experience working on highprofile FCA regulatory change programmes or projects with a Risk or Compliance remit demonstrating the ability to anticipate and prioritise.
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a clearly to stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Knowledge of FCA regulation including a detailed understanding of the FCAs expectations of compliance governance culture risk management and individual accountability.
- Confidence to take on new challenges.
- Prioritise across competing deadlines and influence crossfunctionally and globally.
- Relevant industry certification is not essential but is a plus e.g. the ICA.
