Job Description

The ideal teammate is responsible for:
- Analyze the market identify white spaces and opportunities and establish brand positioning and consumer insights
- Identify and help develop product. This requires a strong technical understanding of battery powered equipment... and heavy interaction with Vietnam& Chinabased manufacturers
- Develop lead and execute purchasing strategies with vendors in Asia (Vietnam & China)
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
- Translate brand elements into plans and gotomarket strategies
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with vendor partners
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyersupplier power
- Monitor market trends research consumer markets and competitors activities shop outs
- Be creative shop out the category identify opportunities for line extension
- Align the company around the brands direction choices and tactics
- Collaborate with sales and design team on packaging concepts
- Review test reports
- BS degree in engineering strongly preferred
- 5 years in Hardgoodsconsumer products sourcing working for an OEM manufacture
- Strong familiarity with battery powered technologies materials sourcing and vendor management
- Product development experience a plus
- Strong analytical negotiating and networking skills partnered with a creative mind a must
- Datadriven thinking and an affinity for numbers
- Outstanding communication skills
- Up to date with latest trends and best practices
- Far East travel (Vietnam & China) 45times per year
- After 6 pm WeChat collaboration with Vietnam and China vendors
