Lead Audiology Technician/Patient Care Coordinator

In this role you will play a crucial part in delivering lifechanging hearing healthcare while ensuring smooth clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.
Position Summary:
As the Lead Aud Tech/PCC you will report to the Regional Clinic Manager and work closely with licensed audiologists and supporting staff. Your role will be essential in helping individuals with hearing loss navigate their journey to better hearing providing handson support with audiological services hearing aid technology and patient education. You will lead clinic operations mentor team members manage patient flow and facilitate teleaudiology appointments to ensure every patient receives the highest quality care.
Primary Job Responsibilities:Clinic Operations & Leadership
- Serve as the primary lead for clinic staff providing guidance mentorship and support to foster a highperforming patientcentered team.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the clinic by overseeing daily workflows troubleshooting issues and optimizing patient scheduling in the EMR and OMR systems.
- Conduct regular team huddles and checkins to improve efficiency and enhance patient care strategies.
- Maintain clinic readiness including infection control equipment maintenance and adherence to compliance policies.
Supporting Individuals with Hearing Loss
- Act as a compassionate first point of contact for patients creating a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals experiencing hearing difficulties.
- Assist audiologists in conducting hearing assessments preparing patients for diagnostic tests and ensuring accurate hearing aid fittings.
- Educate patients and their families on hearing aid technology proper device usage and ongoing maintenance.
- Facilitate TeleHealth audiology appointments ensuring seamless virtual care experiences for patients who may have difficulty visiting the clinic in person.
- Support patient followups reinforcing treatment plans and helping individuals stay engaged in their hearing health journey.
Patient Experience & Coordination
- Provide exceptional empathetic patient service ensuring a positive and professional experience for all individuals seeking hearing care.
- Proactively address patient concerns scheduling challenges or technical issues related to hearing devices.
- Guide patients through thirdparty financing options and insurance preauthorizations to ease financial barriers to care.
- Engage with caregivers and family members to ensure comprehensive hearing care support beyond the clinic visit.
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
- Manage clinic inventory including hearing aids accessories and necessary supplies.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics to optimize clinic efficiency and patient care outcomes.
- Ensure that all clinic operations align with both business objectives and patient care standards.
- Participate in marketing and outreach efforts including community education initiatives that raise awareness about hearing loss and hearing aid solutions.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Deep commitment to patient care and advocacy for individuals with hearing loss.
- Strong leadership and problemsolving skills with a background in clinic operations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with Counsel Ear is a plus).
- Highly organized proactive and selfmotivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical clinic audiology practice or healthcare setting (leadership experience preferred).
- Medical Assistant certification or equivalent required; Certified Audiology Assistant is a plus.
- Experience training and mentoring team members is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with EMR software such as Counsel Ear is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to enroll in an AuD Tech distance program to expand expertise.
Hourly Rate: $28 $34 / hour based on experience
