With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides marketleading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leadingedge IC manufacturing. Logic foundry and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yieldcritical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Job responsibilities include:
Create and refine algorithms for robust image alignment/registration segmentation classification and outlier detection tailored to the inspection systems.
Collaborate with the hardware team on optical imaging calibration image quality and error analysis based on algorithm performance.
Act as the algorithm representative during system level hardware/software integration.
Develop productionlevel code ensuring robust performance and reliability.
Contribute ideas and insights to advance technological capabilities and product offerings.
Provide escalation support and troubleshooting as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Solid theoretical background in image processing and computer vision.
Familiarity with optical imaging and calibration techniques.
Proficient in C/C solid Python programming and objectoriented programming skills.
Educational Requirements:
Doctorate (PhD) in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Applied Mathematics or a related field with no prior work experience required.
Masters degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Bachelors degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
