90 FTE evening/night shift rotation one in three weekend rotation. Hours are based off operational needs of the department. We offer a competitive starting pay relevant work experience will be considered this position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at University Hospital in Madison WI.

Be a frontline nursing leader for the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Surgery Unit to ensure optimum patient care efficient operations quality service and sound financial management.

We are seeking a Care Team Leader(CTL) / Charge Nurse:

  • Direct and lead nursing staff to ensure optimum patient care efficient operations quality service and sound financial management.
  • Facilitate and participate in daily interprofessional rounds.
  • Continuously assess unit needs by ensuring adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts.
  • Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.

Education:

Preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing

Work Experience:

Minimum

  • Two 2 years experience in an inpatient unit
  • At least two 2 years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two 2 years experience in an inpatient unit.

Preferred

  • Three 3 years experience in an acute care inpatient unit.
  • Relevant RN experience with departmentspecific patient population

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred National certification n relevant specialty
