Job Description
Hire Resolves client in the manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Buyer in Midrand Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase raw materials components and equipment.
- Identify evaluate and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with vendors.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Work closely with engineering production and logistics teams to ensure materials are available as per production schedules.
- Ensure that all purchased materials meet required industry standards specifications and compliance regulations.
- Stay updated on market trends material availability and potential risks affecting the supply chain.
- Generate and manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Track spending analyse costsaving opportunities and prepare reports for management.
- Monitor supplier performance based on delivery timelines quality and service levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain business engineering or a related field.
- Experience in procurement preferably in electrical manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical components and manufacturing processes.
