Job Description

Applications are now being accepted for an Upper School Physics Teacher for theschool year.

Position Description: Upper School Physics Teacher


Major Responsibilities:

  • Teach 5 sections including all levels of Physics. Experience teaching Engineering courses preferred.
  • Support students seeking the CFA signature Engineering Certificate Program.
  • Provide a range of instructional and assessment strategies with technology to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with staff members to create engaging lessons and a positive school culture.
  • Provide tutoring to individual and small student groups as required.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Teacher should possess experience and knowledge in all levels of upper school Physics. Experience teaching AP Physics preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using technology including online texts iPads and computer interface measurements.
  • Teacher should have an interest in and ability to contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Commitment to a community that values equity diversity and inclusion.

Education: Bachelors degree in subject area required; a Masters degree preferred.


Experience: Three or more years of teaching experience at the high school level preferably in an independent school environment.
