Job Description

Location: Atlanta Georgia; Cracow or Warsaw Poland

Maxio is a leading SaaS company revolutionizing how subscription businesses manage their financial operations. Our platform simplifies billing revenue recognition and financial reporting empowering businesses to scale efficiently in an increasingly complex landscape.

We are looking for a Technical Writer Developer Documentation to take ownership of our public developerfacing content including API documentation integration guides and technical articles. This role requires both technical writing expertise and a deep understanding of the developer experience to ensure our documentation is clear comprehensive and developerfriendly.

You will collaborate closely with engineering product management and developer experience teams to create resources that enable customers to successfully integrate with Maxio via APIs webhooks and automation frameworks. Ideal candidates will have a technical background and experience working with APIs SDKs and programming languages like Ruby and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

Developer Documentation & API Content

  • Own and maintain API documentation and related developer resources ensuring they are accurate uptodate and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Create and refine integration guides for Maxios API webhooks and automation capabilities.
  • Develop sample code snippets tutorials and best practices for developers building on Maxios platform.
  • Manage thirdparty developer documentation tools to ensure seamless content delivery.

Technical Content & Enablement

  • Write technical articles deep dives and troubleshooting guides for developers integrating with Maxio.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand new features and translate them into developerfriendly documentation.
  • Collaborate with customer success and support teams to identify common developer pain points and proactively address them through documentation.
  • Maintain a consistent voice and structure across all technical content ensuring clarity and usability.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive feature adoption among developers by creating clear accessible documentation that simplifies complex technical concepts.
  • Advocate for documentation improvements based on user feedback.
  • Contribute to API design discussions to ensure clarity and ease of use for external developers.
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends in API documentation developer experience and automation best practices.
  • Implement continuous feedback loops to enhance documentation quality and usability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience & Technical Background

  • 3 years of experience in technical writing developer documentation or API documentation or other technical application of the skills listed below.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs webhooks authentication protocols (OAuth API keys) and developer tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Ruby and Python to create meaningful code examples.
  • Experience using documentation tools and platforms (e.g. Swagger Postman ReadMe Markdown GitHub).

Communication & Collaboration

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear developerfriendly documentation.
  • Strong collaboration skills working effectively with engineering product and customer success teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for technical accuracy and clarity.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in B2B SaaS or fintech environments.
  • Prior experience in developer advocacy API design or product management.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL WebSockets or other modern API technologies.
