Job Description
What We Are Looking For
We seek rising teacherscholars working in 1 Classics and 2 Rhetoric and/or Composition.
During the period of their appointment postdoctoral teaching fellows will receive mentored teachingandlearningtrainingaswellasresearchandpublicationworkshopsto supporttheir faculty formation and prepare them for a position in higher education.
Position Requirements:
- Doctoral Degree or Equivalent in relevant fields (Awarded by August 21st 2025
- Active Christian or practicing Jewish faith.
Annual compensation is $52500 plus qualified benefits.
Fellows receive conference and/or professional development funding.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.
What You Will Do
- Workload assignment is 75 teaching and 25 research.
- Teaching typically involves three courses each semester.

- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance

- 3 list of three professional references
- Letters of recommendation from three professional references will be requested of selected candidates later in the review process.
Review of applications will begin December 2 2024 and will continue until the position is filled. Initial interviews will occur over Zoom. Finalists will be invited for an inperson interview with the department as well as college and university administration.
