Job Description

Regional Business Development Manager Hobart

The Opportunity

The Business Development Manager role offers the opportunity to work as part of the leadership team in an integrated healthcare business at Hobart Private Hospital. This position is ideal for someone who is ready to take on an executive role in the healthcare industry in a challenging and rewarding position.

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to support Hobart Private Hospital who can develop and implement strategies in alignment with our clinical services plan. In this role youll focus on strengthening relationships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) fostering engagement and expanding our hospital network.

As a key member of the Hobart Hospital Executive and National Business Development Teams youll also act as the primary contact for GPs and health professionals promoting hospital services improving access to care and enhancing communication between our hospitals specialists and primary care providers.

Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the hospitals growth targets aligned with the clinical services plan
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and
  • Lead initiatives to generate referrals and expand clinical services
  • Identify and promote new services within defined priority specialties
  • Deliver healthcare business development programs

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (eg Bachelors in Business or a healthrelated field)

  • Demonstrated experience in sales/business development particularly in the healthcare/hospital sector

  • Proven ability to deliver referral generation initiatives and optimise procedural services

Key Attributes:

To succeed in this role the ideal candidate will:

  • Strong understanding of hospital operations and growth strategies
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and evolving environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders
  • Have prior experience in medical industry sales private hospital clinical services development and procedural services optimisation
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent communication presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Possess the ability to articulate complex commercial proposals and use data to drive decisions
  • Be selfmotivated with a proactive attitude and a proven track record of meeting growth targets in healthcare or hospital environments
