Position Description TREW is a provider of Automated Equipment Control Systems and Warehouse Software. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Technology and Innovation team you will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining software solutions that enhance and optimize our material handling systems. You will provide requirements specification documentation training configuration and maintenance. You must be selfmotivated dedicated and possess a keen sense of initiative. You must have the ability to easily adapt to changing situations and have a strong technical background in software engineering. Candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication interpersonal and customer service skills plus the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams. Duties / Responsibilities Develop new Warehouse (WES) / Warehouse Control System (WCS) functionality using C# .NET) Core and MS SQL Server. Create userfriendly interfaces for operators and maintenance personnel to monitor control and troubleshoot material handling systems using the Angular framework. Work closely with Mechanical Electrical and PLC engineers to understand system requirements provide software support for hardware integration and contribute to the overall system architecture. Lead efforts in debugging and troubleshooting softwarerelated issues collaborating with crossfunctional teams to resolve problems and minimize system downtime. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines coding standards and best practices. Lead and mentor junior engineers. Required Skills/ Abilities C# .NET) Core MS SQL Server Database HTML and CSS Typescript and Angular a plus Microsoft Visual Studio IDE Familiarity with RESTFUL APIs Full software development life cycle Developing scalable platforms Experience with Azure DevOps a plus Selfmotivated with the ability to operate independently Education & Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field. Material handling or WES/WCS industry experience a plus Work Environment This is primarily an officebased role although occasional travel to customer sites for meetings and testing may be required. Ability to work effectively in a warehouse and/or construction environment for system testing Flexibility to travel often via air with the ability to travel 5 on a calendar year basis to job sites both domestically and abroad. Travel may include weekends and/or holidays. Physical Requirements Capable of working in a construction site environment (no air conditioning dusty loud etc. and following all site safety rules such as wearing personal protective equipment (hard hats safety shoes hearing protection etc. Ability to frequently move about the work site to access equipment etc. and remain standing stationary for extended periods of time.
