Job Description
Position: Maintenance Technician Full Time!
Location: Tampa FL
Pay: $30 hourly starting with room to grow! $1 shift premium for the 3rd shift. Need to be open to Overtime as needed.
Bonus: Potential to earn a 5 bonus based on the overall performance of the plant!
Shifts: 2nd & 3rd Shift!
- 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm ET. Must be open to overtime as needed.
- 3rd Shift Sunday Thursday 10:30pm 7am ET. Must be open to overtime as neeeded.
Training: You will train on 1st shift for a minimum of 3 weeks

Who we are!
Tampa Florida is home to a fully integrated plant that manufacturers batteries used in cars boats motorcycles and heavyduty trucks. As a fully integrated plant we also decorate or label our batteries into the final product for our customers. We opened in 1958 and employ more than 280 people. We operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through Metropolitan Ministries The United Way and AdoptARoad Tampa.
What you will be doing!
- Emphasis on safe work practices adherence to LOTO procedures and use of PPE.
- Troubleshooting and repairing of machinery conveyors and robotics.
- Diagnose problems replace or repair parts test and make adjustments.
- Must have knowledge of 120 208 and 480 VAC circuits.
- Experience with conveyors electronics PLC hardware and ladder logic required.
- Understanding of motor control circuitry (VFDs soft starts etc. required.
- May be required to set up and operate one or all of the following machines: lathe milling machine drill press grinder power saws etc.
- Must be able to read schematics and blueprints.
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Perform preventive maintenance to assure maximum equipment functionality.
- Adhere to implement follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
What we are looking for!
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.
- Working experience with hydraulics pneumatics electrical 480v) and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
