Responsibilities
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests with implementation of appropriate treatment plan and followup care in a costeffective manner.
- Promote preventive and health maintenance care including annual physicals positive health behaviors and selfcare skills through education and counseling.
- Perform medical exams reviews and conduct appropriate military specific documentation such as (but not limited to) narrative medical summaries for Medical Evaluation Boards medical profiles and quarters authorization following military specific policies.
- Perform medical procedures within credentials and scope of practice. Procedures may include but are not limited to colposcopy exams biopsies IUD insertion Nexplanon insertion and I & D.
- Request consultation or referral with appropriate subspecialties clinics or other health resources as indicated.
Qualifications
- A permanent full and unrestricted license to practice as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner. License cannot be under investigation nor have any adverse action pending from a State Board or national licensing/certification agency. May be licensed in any of the 50 states.
- A minimum of 24 months of experience in a womens health care setting within the last 36 months.
- Successful completion of a Family Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited School of Nursing at the time of graduation.
- Nationally certified as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner through the national Certification Corporation (NCC).
License Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
