We are looking for a Technical Architect for our longterm multiyear project out of Madison WI.
Responsibilities:
Under direction of KIDS Application Development Section Management this position performs advanced technical architecture services for the KIDS system including database administration. The KIDS technical architect/DBA Lead: recommends and maintains data management policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff; recommends and evaluates software solutions and tools; installs and maintains software on multiple mainframe platforms; plans tests installs and updates software; and advises application development staff on the use of database software database designs and data models supports application load testing and is available for evening/weekend on call duties.
Well qualified candidates will have technical architecture and DBA experience with a large 1000 programs 400table 4DB2/CICS environments or equivalent) Child Support system or equivalent using IBM utilities Platinum ERWin Omegamon ChangeMan CNTLM or like tools; and significant IT related knowledge.
Must Have:
Management of large projects.

Database Tuning and Maintenance to assure highest level of system availability and performance.
IBM DB2 Utilities or CDB DB2 Utilities.
Implement Database Objects and Files needed by Database Applications.

Data Warehouse performance tuning.
DB2.
Implement Database Archive and Recovery Strategies.
Logical database design.
Move for DB2.
Physical database design.
Stored procedures and triggers.
Familiarity and knowledge with best practices in information architecture.
Participate in design reviews.
DB2 Application DBA for a very large complex Child Support System supporting hundreds of tables in at least 5 environments.
