About the Role

AppOmni is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow our Threat Platform team. In this role you will oversee critical parts of our platform focused on SaaS security enabling customers to identify prioritize and respond to threats in real time. Youll collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders shape technical direction and lead a highperforming engineering team skilled in Python and Go to build highvolume data pipelines that empower robust SaaS threat detection and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Vision
• Define and drive the technical strategy for our Threat Detection and Response initiatives aligning with AppOmnis broader goals and product roadmap.
• Champion best practices in SaaS security threat detection and highvolume data pipelines continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
2. Team Management & Development
• Lead mentor and grow a highperforming engineering team ensuring individuals have clear goals regular feedback and opportunities for professional development.
• Foster a culture of transparency and shared ownership where every team member feels supported and valued.
3. Delivery &
• Oversee endtoend delivery of features and enhancements for threat assessment incident response and detection customization.
• Utilize agile methodologies (or similar) to optimize team workflows and accelerate timetomarket for customers.
• Ensure timely pull request (PR) reviews clear task definitions and consistent communication of progress and blockers.
4. CustomerCentric Innovation
• Advocate for a customerfirst mindset making datadriven decisions that address realworld SaaS security needs.
• Partner with Product Management to gather feedback validate assumptions and refine detection and response capabilities based on market and customer insights.
5. Collaboration & CrossFunctional Alignment
• Collaborate with peer teams (Security Research Product Data Science) to share insights remove roadblocks and align on overarching business goals.
• Promote open communication and break down silos for a seamless integrated approach to product delivery.
6. Process & Quality Excellence
• Establish and refine engineering processes to improve code quality reliability and performanceparticularly for scalable highthroughput data pipelines.
• Advocate for continuous improvement early issue detection and rigorous testing monitoring and observability.

Qualifications

• 7 years of overall Software Engineering experience including 5 years as a handson engineer
• 3 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or in a technical leadership role guiding teams that deliver productiongrade SaaS solutions
• Expertise with Go particularly in building highvolume data pipelines or threat detection systems
• Proven track record of managing complex projects with highperformance and highavailability requirements ideally in security or datafocused environments
• Demonstrated ability to fail fast learn faster iterating quickly in agile or agileesque settings
• Strong communication skillsverbal and writtensuitable for a remotefirst or distributed workforce
• Familiarity with SaaS security security operations or detection engineering is a plus (though not mandatory)

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

Our total rewards package includes the following:

• Base Salary: The annual base salary compensation range in the U.S. for this role is $210000 $230000. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as the final candidates skills qualifications and experience as well as business considerations and peer compensation. Candidates located in the Bay Area may be entitled to a higher salary range.
