About the Client:
Our client is a leading agency within the Defence portfolio dedicated to defending Australia against global threats and advancing national interests through foreign signals intelligence cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in application development and mobile software engineering. The role involves writing and testing code optimizing software for speed and capability and designing and maintaining software systems. You will contribute to the development of capabilities in mobile technologies and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply software development skills to manage access to and control physical mobile handsets and emulated devices.
Produce detailed component specifications and translate these into detailed designs for implementation.
Assess risk and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Work cohesively with broader program teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Technical Skills Required:
Android emulation
Python
Bash
Mobile software engineering
Version control systems
Containerbased platforms and applications
The Successful Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience in application development and mobile software engineering. They should be adaptable willing to learn new technologies and capable of developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
What is on Offer:
Location: Canberra ACT
Duration: 12 months with a possibility of a 12month extension.
Working Arrangements: 5 days a week up to 40 hours per week
