Organization Overview:The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are wellestablished Manhattan communitybased agencies that support services to approximately 30000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York Citys leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children youth and families homeless individuals and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and lowincome families outofschool and outofwork youth and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville and seek to deliver programs that are impactful innovative and intergenerational.

Program Description: Goddard Riversides Manhattanville (MNVL) Resource Center is a social service hub located in West Harlem in the MNVL NYCHA development and which exclusively serves its residents. The MNVL Resource Center helps lowincome individuals and families access and receive entitlements benefits and resources. The MNVL Resource Center also offers an array of services including but not limited to benefits screening financial counseling legal consultation and referrals to support services in the community and citywide.

Position Summary: The Manhattanville Resource Center is looking for a highly motivated individual to support intergenerational and community engagement efforts. In collaboration with the Resource Center staff this role supports program recruitment efforts and helps with residents engagement in programming.

Schedule: MondayFridayPart time position/Occasional evening/weekend hours may be required. 10AM2PM or 1PM5PM)

Hourly Rate: $20$24 per hour

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidates number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Roles Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Role Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Promote the MNVL Resource Center services among residents.
  • Refer residents in need to the Program Coordinator and Case Managers.
  • Report metrics on all services provided to the residents.
  • Track and provide outcomes
  • Meet with Tenant Association members/resident leaders.

Outreach Services

  • In collaboration with the Program Coordinator work on marketing and outreach efforts to successfully engage residents.
  • Coordinate activities workshops fairs focus groups etc. as per tenants interests.
  • Organize and manage on and offsite activities and workshops for residents including scheduling securing resources (space food etc. and ensuring smooth .
  • Support communitybased initiatives and represent the MNVL Resource Center at tabling events Community Board meetings activities hosted by elected officials and local CBO events.
  • Contribute to special projects when needed.

Resource Center Team Member

  • Collaborate with Program Coordinator and Case Managers to ensure cohesive program delivery and effective residents support.
  • Attend staff meetings community meetings case conferences training programs and supervision meetings; participate in program evaluation and improvement.
  • Work as a member of an active team and respond flexibly to a fluid and evolving program environment.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma and 12 years experience working with diverse and underserved populations
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working with lowincome populations
  • Knowledge of government benefits
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Team player

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should be:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs especially Outlook Word Excel
  • Able to use or learn electronic databases such as Single Stop

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30lbs
  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Ability to work outdoors

Work Environment

  • On site work.
  • Work site is located in West Harlem on MNVL NYCHA development.
  • Seasonal outdoor outreach events
  • May require some late nights and/or weekends based on needs and programming
