Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find an Environmental Field Consultant for their Reclamation and Remediation teambased out of their Edmonton area office.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing reclamation and remediation plans onabandoned upstream oil and gas sites
- Overseeing the completion of remediation and reclamation projects.Coordinating and supervising heavy equipment and other thirdparty contractorsas required
- Assisting with the oversight of client budgets tracking projectstatuses and making recommendations to progress sites toward regulatoryclosure
- Coordinate and execute Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) sitevisits vegetation assessments Phase 2 ESAs and Detailed Site Assessments(DSAs)
- Collaborate with members of the Technical Resource Group to develop sitespecific remediation guidelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and otherstakeholders
- Work closely with interdisciplinary groups (Technical Resource GroupData Management Group Spill Group Biophysical Group and Vegetation Group) tosuccessfully execute client projects and programs
- Compiling various technical documents including DSA reports Phase 2 ESAreports remediation reports and regulatory closure applications
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff
- Provide support to senior staff as required
Requirements
- 510 yearsof consulting experience related to remediation reclamation or environmentalscience
- Proficientat completing Detailed Site Assessments using the 2010 Reclamation Criteria for Well sites and Associated Facilities
- Familiarwith the Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines
- Good understanding of upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in Alberta aswell as British Columbia and Saskatchewan will be considered an asset
- Knowledgeand experience working with various types of farming and heavy equipment
- Excellentvegetation and identification skills in both forested and cultivatedlandscapes
- Willingnessto travel and be in the field as dictated by project requirements
- TechnicalDiploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline
- Eligibilityto obtain professional designation with an organization such as the AlbertaInstitute of Agrologists
- Excellentcommunication writing and problemsolving skills
- Proficientwith Microsoft Office Suite and database entry
- Validdrivers license
- Goodphysical health and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Willingnessto work within a team environment
- Highlyorganized and can prioritize multiple tasks
