Shuttering Carpenter
A Shuttering Carpenter is accountable for constructing assembling and disassembling formwork (shuttering) utilized in concrete construction.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
- Determine formwork dimensions and necessary materials.
- Fabricate shape and construct timber plywood or metal formwork.
- Install and secure formwork in the appropriate positions.
- Utilize spirit levels plumb bobs and measuring tapes to guarantee precision.
- Ensure the formwork is robust enough to support wet concrete.
- Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
- Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
- Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets gloves and boots.
- Ensure that structures comply with quality and safety standards.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
