Job Description

Shuttering Carpenter


A Shuttering Carpenter is accountable for constructing assembling and disassembling formwork (shuttering) utilized in concrete construction.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Determine formwork dimensions and necessary materials.
  • Fabricate shape and construct timber plywood or metal formwork.
  • Install and secure formwork in the appropriate positions.
  • Utilize spirit levels plumb bobs and measuring tapes to guarantee precision.
  • Ensure the formwork is robust enough to support wet concrete.
  • Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
  • Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
  • Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets gloves and boots.
  • Ensure that structures comply with quality and safety standards.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
