Responsibilities
Facilitate all phases of the recruitment process. Screen and route resumes schedule and conduct interviews recommend qualified candidates present offers secure acceptances and conduct background checks.
Collaborate with Department Managers to understand skills and competencies required for all positions.
Collaborate with the Training and Development professional in Corporate HR as well as onsite management team to analyze Performance Reviews identifying individual and group training needs.
Design sourcing strategies. Identify the most efficient and costeffective recruitment methods.
Manage the requisition process including creation posting and hiring in the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS)
Handle employmentrelated inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors.
Plan and conduct new hire orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices.
Participate in the succession planning process.
Responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity professionalism fairness and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
Develop and maintain strong union labor relations by increasing involvement through regular onsite presence attending monthly union meetings and addressing labor concerns proactively to support a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in HR or related field is preferred
35 years experience in HR; industry experience beneficial but not necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication
Knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
Familiar with recruiting and staffing practices
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency with or the ability to learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
