As a Senior Procurement Officer youll play a key role in ensuring we get the best value for money while supporting our communities. Youll lead on contracts advise stakeholders and make sure everything we do is fair transparent and compliant with the latest regulations. Where does this role fit in

As part of the Procurement Team youll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure procurement is efficient compliant and delivers real value. Youll be supporting the Procurement Business Partner while working with teams across the business to help them manage contracts effectively.

What skills and experience do you need


Were looking for someone who enjoys problem solving has a keen eye for detail and thrives in a fast paced environment. To be successful in this role youll need:

  • A strong understanding of procurement regulations (Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience managing procurement contracts including benchmarking and spend analysis.
  • Knowledge of eProcurement tools such as Sell2Wales and eTenderwales.
  • Excellent communication skills youll be advising teams across the business.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • MCIPS Level 6 qualification (or working towards it) is desirable.

What are the pay and benefits

  • This is a permanent role for 37 hours per week. The salary for this role is 37782
  • We welcome applications from candidates in various locations. This hybrid role offers office bases in Newport Cardiff or Swansea.
  • Our team primarily meets in Swansea with travel reimbursed for those based in Cardiff or Newport (with home to base mileage adjusted in line with our policy)
