Job Description
DUMP TRUCK DRIVER
Laney Construction Materials LLC. is an established successful asphalt plant in Woodbine MD looking to hire a professional Dump Truck Driver to join their team.
TheDrivers primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of a dump truck to load/unload and transport aggregate material such as sand gravel crushed rock and bituminous paving materials to and from various quarries and our asphalt plant to customers throughout the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Valid CDL Class B Drivers license with a good driving record (License must be in the State of residence)
- Must maintain a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen
- Must be able to perform and have acknowledged all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA OSHA and Company policies
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to perform pretrip and posttrip making sure the truck is in safe conditions
- Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions
- Maintains truck logs as required by the State Federal and Company policies and regulations
- Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Stand and sit for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to drive up to 12 hours a day
- Walk bend kneel and twist
- Talk and hear
- Lift and move up to 75 pounds on occasions
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid CDL Class B Drivers (License must be the State of residence)
- Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of Dump Truck experience preferred for hauling various aggregate materials including asphalt.
