Job Description
VEHICLES PLACEMENT
- Establish the system approach & process to Timely placements of Vehicles- within 48 hrs. Max. Improve service levels in dry cargo to 90 % and 95% in bulk liquids.
- Collaborate with supporting resources (Suppliers Business Commercial Transporters Sales Team etc) to achieve targeted numbers within the given timeframes.
- Participate in sourcing initiatives to leverage best practices partner with corporate commodity leaders sourcing leaders and peers to maximize synergies with Transporters.
- Identifying and qualifying Transporters finalizing long term contracts and negotiate favourable payment terms & rates.
NEW VENDOR EMPANELMENT
- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and Transportation process and developing contingency plans to mitigate these risks by diversifying the transporter base maintaining strategic relationship with Transporters and establishing alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Responsibility to conduct due diligence on Transporters and ensuring Identify and qualify Transporters capable of meeting the requirements of new product (Lanes/Routes) introductions.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate Transporters capabilities quality systems and capacity through third parties internal team visits and feedback from Quality Assurance departments if required.
INNOVATION
- Develop and implement new Transporting strategies aligned with new routes/lanes considering factors such as cost quality availability and capabilities.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to sourcing supply chain disruptions and Transporters performance that could impact material.
REGULAR ACTIVITIES
- Placements of vehicles
- Inventory Planning & Control - Coordinating and supporting Business team for timely procurement of Raw Material & Sales of Finish goods
- Identifying Digital initiatives of Transportation & implementing the same in system.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities and timelines related to Transporting and to support the successful completion of new projects.
- Knowledge & Adherence of All Compliance w.r.t MV Act RTO Act etc.
- MIS & Month end report preparation on monthly basis
- Providing Provisions to accounts at the month end
