Role Summary:
The Sr. Software Development Team Leader will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of software developers driving the development and support of web applications internal systems API integrations and thirdparty integration. This role is responsible for guiding the team through complex technical challenges architecting scalable solutions and ensuring the successful of projects. Key responsibilities include overseeing daytoday development activities mentoring and coaching team members and fostering a higher performance engineering culture. The Sr. Software Development Team Leader will collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business goals while maintaining high standards for code quality security and system reliability. Additionally this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the teams technical direction and continuously improving development processes to enhance efficiency and innovation.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide technical leadership and support to development team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and work with the development team to design build and test out tasks and solutions
- Analyze and improve the efficiency of applications systems services and processes
- Work with the software engineering team to design and implement security measures for our API environment and other applications
- Plan and complete upgrades maintaining compliance with standards and control procedures
- Proactively monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to implement new technologies and solutions
- Lead and manage work with our nearshore resources external vendors and consultants on projects and integrations
- Build develop and maintain vendor relationships vital to the success of products.
- Attend credit union training sessions conferences or seminars as approved by supervisor.Maintain awareness of policies and regulations related to duties and responsibilities
- Manage a hybrid team of five 5 to 10 software developers both in person remote and overseas
- Ensure that work delivered by the team is completed accurately and ontime
- Develop code in alignment with Gesas coding standards
- Help the team improve code quality through collaboration code review and implementation of code best practices
- Lead the architecture and design of software solutions ensuring they are robust scalable and align with business objectives
- Track metrics for your team and provide recommendations for process improvements
About You:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail troubleshooting skills and problemsolving skills
- Experience with webservices and Web API
- Familiarity with modern programming languages
- Experience with Azure Devops or similar version control systems
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how they work
- Knowledge of different testing strategies
- Experience in an Agile and Scrum environment
- Strong knowledge of web security and other security systems
- Ability to analyze information and recommend achievable process improvements to management
- Selfmotivated and able to organize prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks
- Ability to lead and influence team members and influence vendor partners
- Ability to run project implementations
- Knowledge of SOLID design principles ObjectOriented Programming and Design
- Knowledge of different software architecture patterns and how to apply them to different problems
- Ability to travel to complete assigned responsibilities and attend professional seminars and education as approved
Technologies:
- Must be familiar with at least one modern frontend technology like Angular
- Must be familiar with at least one modern backend technology like NodeJS express or .NET
- Experience with at least one modern database tool like SQL Server or Oracle
- Familiar with microservices architecture and container technology like Docker
- Experience with GIT source control
- Experience working and developing against REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience with an integration platform like MuleSoft
- Specific coding languages include but are not limited to: C# Typescript JavaScript and Java (occasionally)

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field or equivalent of specialized courses training and/or directly related experience may be substituted.
- A minimum of seven 7 years of similar or related functional and technical experience. At least four of those years should be as a software developer
- A minimum of two 2 years of managerial experience
- Knowledge of the Financial Industry products and services. Credit Union experience preferred
