Job Description
Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is looking for a Software Developer to support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services and subject matter expertise in Mission Command and C2 Maneuver systems. The Software Developer will provide primary technical support to various radar systems to include AN/TPQ 53 Radar System onsite 5 days a week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design development and maintenance of software for a variety of engineering applications.
- Work with analysts to understand their analytic or interface requirements.
- Assist in developing tools and interfaces.
- Assist in design development and testing of operating systemslevel software compilers and network distribution software applications.
- Assist in setting operational specifications and formulate and analyzing software requirements.
- Assist in design embedded systems software.
- Analyze user needs; develop and design software solutions.
- Must be able to perform routine duties in an industrial security office to obtain security clearance on employees control employee identification cards and records maintain lock and key records and arrange visit authorizations for employees and others to gain access to restricted areas.
- Must be experienced in interviewing employees to verify accuracy of data completing personnel security questionnaires and related documents verify proper level of access to be granted to individuals and contacting other company or Government agencies to follow up clearance or visit authorization requests.
- Requires knowledge of Government and company security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of related experience one additional year of applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Willing to travel up to 10 CONUS to support operational requirements.
- Must meet DODD 8140.01 Cyber Workforce Management Basic cyberspace workforce foundational qualification requirements.
- Bachelors degree in computer science electronics engineering or other engineering or Technical discipline.
- CND GISF or SSCP certification may be substituted for the degree.
- 24 years of prior relevant experience in software development.
- Current and active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with:Linux DevelopmentJAVA ADA or C Software Languages.
Desired Qualifications
- Military experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced Degree is desirable
- Understanding and experience in the complete life cycle of the software in military systems
- Certificate/Encryption Knowledge
- Familiarity with CECOM Software Engineering Center PostProduction Software Sustainment (PPSS) processes a plus
- Experience with AGILE development and Atlassian Tools would be a plus
