CNC Setter/Operator
Milton Keynes
Temp to Perm
Monday Friday 39 hours a week
ACS Staffing solutions are looking for a CNC Setter/Operator for our client in the Milton Keynes area. As a CNC Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Mills and Lathes to manufacture components to drawings within the agreed time frame.
Normal hours of work are 07:4516:30 Monday Thursday and 07:45 to 15:30 with an unpaid lunch break of 45 minutes.
As a CNC Setter/Operator you will be required to
- Set and operate CNC vertical and horizontal twin pallet mills turning centres with live tooling and CNC Lathes using Fanuc control system.
- Select appropriate tools and machine settings.
- Set and operate manual milling turning and grinding machines.
- Check parts are to drawing using measuring equipment.
- Complete production Job documentation.
- Prepare raw materials for use.
- Material Handling.
- Carryout out weekly / monthly fluid checks and machine maintenance.
- Keeping workspace and machines clean and tidy.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are being adhered to and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize processes.
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested within your capability.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience setting and operating CNC Lathes and Mills with Franuc as well as relevant experience within a manufacturing/engineering background. Knowledge of engineering tolerances and micrometres verniers and gauges would be a advantage.
