This is a nonsupervisory position responsible for developing solicitations including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Invitations for Bids (IFBs) Informal and Open solicitations. The role involves creating new contracts executing contract amendments and renewals and managing all tasks related to the assigned service areas.Inaddition theroleis responsible forplanningwritingand managing the entire solicitation work and process for the assigned HHS service area which may includeconducting site visits during prebid conference(s).
Additionally the positionis responsible forobtaining necessary insurance requirements and approvals from the Countys Office of Risk Management. The individual will alsomaintainand update contract database tracking tools to ensuretimelycompletionaccuratereporting and proper documentation of contract activities.
As the primary liaison between the Health and Human Services (HHS) Contract Management Team (CMT) the Office of Procurement the County Attorney and the assigned program service areas this role will provide technicalexpertiseand guidance to program staff. The position will serve as the subject matter expert on contractrelated matters for the assigned service areas and may conduct contract training sessions for programmonitorsas needed.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with aBachelors Degree.
Experience: Considerable three 3 years of professional experience in contract management which may include project/program/grant management research and development of contracting processes or contract administration.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experiencemaybe substituted.
Preference for interview will be given to qualified candidates with experience in the following areas. Please be sure to include relevant experience in these areas on your resume.
Experience with legal writing including drafting and editing contracts and amendments.
Experience withanalyzingdatapreparingand developing reports andproficiencyin Microsoft Office Tools.
Ability to manage prioritize projects and work independently to problemsolve complex projects
Ability to provide conciseclearand precise information to supervisor team members and customers.
