Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Basic Function of the Job: Performs a wide variety of boule and wafer fabrication tasks in support of the production process volume manufacturing processes and RD&E for Advanced Materials products. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of process equipment including: MultiWire Saws External (O.D. Grinders Surface Grinder and XRay equipment. Must be able to articulate various types of hand tools and power tools such as a Bandsaw Belt Sander and Dye Grinder required to carry out the task at hand. Maintain a neat clean and organized work station according to 5S practices. Supports the scaleup of fabrication capabilities to keep pace with ever changing production levels. Contributes to the continuous improvement of fabrication capabilities to an industry leadership position. Participates in Advanced Materials Environmental Health and Safety activities. Responsible for the IIVI ESGP appraisal system as it relates to your own career and personal development.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma plus additional training in fabrication or machining and equipment maintenance.
Skills
- Broad practical knowledge of semiconductor wafer fabrication and handson experience in the operation maintenance and repair of fabrication process tools (Wiresaws Grinders Xrays Cleaning Equipment in an industrial environment.
- Wellhoned observational skills that enable the rapid identification of operating problems/abnormalities
- Ability to train new or inexperienced operators or technicians to operate fabrication equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with process development tools and systems such as SPC DOE and ISO 9000 methodologies
- Capability to quickly respond to unusual events emergencies and/or accidents.
- Ability to work in a crosscultural team based environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
