Mission

The main target will be developing the different metallic coatings for the MIURA 5 rocket engines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and choose the best procedure for each process.
• Define the optimum parameters for each process.
• Define and create the required documentation for the of each process.
• Establish the required controls and tests.
• Process data and results evaluation setting corrective or improvement actions if needed.
• Deal withsuppliers of raw materials and equipment.

Necessary Requirements

• Bachelor in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Materials.
• Other academic backgrounds may be considered depending on relevant work experience.

Desired Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in electroplating processes for non ferrous metals.
• Deep knowledge of chemistry of electrochemical processes.
• Experience in parametrization and optimization of complex processes.
• Knowledge of masking (types preparation application).
• Knowledge of characterization techniques for metallic coatings.
• Experience in the aeronautical and/or the space sector.
• Experience working with ERP and LIMS systems.
• Used to work with diverse standards (ISO ASTM ECSS MIL NACE).
• Familiar with the sources of scientific production.
• Used to work under pressure without losing safety nor quality.
• Methodical and with the ability to synthesize.
• Strict compliance with HSE rules.
• Agile proactive and oriented towards achievements.
• Able to teamwork and to interact with all the involved departments.
• Experience in copper and nickel electroplating processes.
• Experience in metallography and destructive testing.
• Experience in other coating processes and surface treatments on both ferrous and nonferrous metals (e.g. thermal spray cold spray electropolishing conversion coatings....
• Experience in the visualization of 3D models using CAD software as well as in the interpretation of complex plans.
• Knowledge of Spanish and European law applicable to the products and equipment used (REACH CE marking... as well as EHS.
• Certified according to FROSIO scheme or NACE scheme.
