Job Description

Qualifications:
  • Bachelorsdegree required; Masters Degree in business or systems field preferred.
  • Musthave at least 4 years experience working with clinical applications/systems
  • Consultingexperience and knowledge of project management and process improvementmethodologies strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrateddesktop software skills including MS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint MS ProjectMS Visio and MS Sharepoint
Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
  • Systemsanalysis and troubleshooting experience.Ability to identify and resolve issues strategically and quickly.
  • Experienceworking with a variety of departments (clinical technical clericalancillary) at both at the staff and management levels.
  • Systemsintegration proficiency HL7 and interface implementation/testing and/oranalysis of interfaces to/from applications.
  • Demonstratesa solid understanding of systems infrastructure and integration.
  • Strongorganizational and planning skills.
  • Highlymotivated with the ability to motivate/engage others.
  • Demonstratedability to work independently take initiative and perform with integrity andresponsibility
  • Demonstratedcommitment to delivery of high quality customer service and teamwork
  • Provenexperience managing multiple levels of staff and projects in a matrix reportingenvironment
  • Abilityto plan and manage projects other resources and timelines; and to prioritizeand delegate accordingly
  • Abilityto understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction withdeveloping/meeting goals
  • Abilityto work cooperatively and efficiently with a variety of groups and levelswithin an organization
  • Knowledgeof information systems infrastructure technology products services andcustomers.

Working Conditions:

Officeenvironment located in Beverly MA.Travel between NSMC sites (primarily Salem and Union campuses) is required.

Aboutthe position:

PartnersHealthCare System is seeking an experienced IT professional to join the NorthShore Medical Centers information systems team as a Business TechnologyAnalyst II. The incumbent will beresponsible for applying leadership and project management methodologies tosuccessfully bridge the gap between hospitalbased system administrators and ITstaff.

General Overview:

TheBusiness Technology Analyst II will be responsible for working with NSMC systemadministrators and IT staff to standardize and manage activity related tosystem documentation data flows test scripts downtime procedures vendorcontracts upgrades support etc.

Responsibilities:

Inthis role you will be responsible for:

  • Servingas the primary liaison for at least 5 departments applications and/or at least12 applications
  • ProjectManagement and Implementation of NSMC applications/systems
  • Gatherand prepare system documentation such as:planning and scope documents requirements definitions projectupdates/status reports project planning/tracking etc.
  • Participatingin planning and of system upgrades (including test script developmentand testing)
  • Developand maintain data workflows/diagrams
  • Workwith end users to develop and maintain downtime procedures and applicationsummary documents
  • Enduser support and training
  • Troubleshootingand problem analysis of application/system
  • Reviewand participate in vendor contracts andsupport agreements
  • Servingas the main IS point of contact for NSMC System Administrators
  • Providingongoing support process improvement and quality customer service

Serveas an internal consultant and actively contribute to the formation andexecution of the overall Partners and NSMC systems vision.

Work closely with hospital management and/orend users to define business need solution and workplan to successfully meetobjectives related to ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.

Actively seek out and propose alternativestrategies to address risks and overcome obstacles while ensuring that workmeets established goals and objectives.

Function both as an individual contributorand team player within Partners IS and the hospital community at large.

Provide quality customer service and serve asan exemplary representative of Partners Information Systems. Ongoing communication feedback and followthroughwith customers/peers are essential.

Incumbent will perform other duties andspecial projects as assigned.

Thisposition reports to the Team Lead II of Application Integration.
